Privacy at ValidLab

ValidLab helps you validate an idea on evidence. That only works if you trust us with your thinking — so here is plainly what we collect, how it is secured, and the controls you have.

What we collect

Your account details (email and name), the idea content you enter (problem, market, validation work, evidence), and basic product usage so we can improve the experience. We do not ask for more than the product needs.

How your work is secured

If you bring your own Anthropic API key, it is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and is never shown back to you in full. Your idea content is stored so you can return to it, and is accessible only to your account (and any team you explicitly join).

How AI processing works

When you ask the Advisor or generate a synthesis, the relevant idea content is sent to Anthropic's API to produce that response. Per Anthropic's API terms, inputs sent through the API are not used to train their models. We use your content to provide the product — not to train models of our own.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information or idea content. We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (such as hosting, email, and the AI provider above), under their terms.

Your controls

You can export your work, and you can deactivate your account at any time from Settings — deactivation is reversible and retains your data so it can be restored. For a full deletion of your data, email us and we will action it.
